Happy V Day!

So, our first Valentine's Day as a married couple is going to to something like this:

My husband is working an event at 7 p.m. I have to work a different event at 6 p.m. And we're not even in the food and beverage industry!

So long, romance.

Nah, instead of whining and moaning and stuffing my face with chocolate, I'm trying to come up with a plan to celebrate a different day. Well, I guess I can still stuff my face with chocolate.

Last night, I surprised him with a card and some candy, and a bottle of bubbly that who knows when we will get to pop open. And today, he sent me flowers at work. After my dad sent me a bouquet yesterday, I'm really feeling the love, people!

And my husband gets brownie points for writing in the card: Every day with you is Valentine's Day. Awww.

(Wait, did someone say brownies?)
